Speaker: Virginia McIntyre, President and Executive Director of the People In Pain Network (PIPN) and Chair of the Canadian Pain Society (CPS) PWLE committee. Virginia developed persistent pain in 2009 after a shoulder surgery. She holds a BA in Community Studies, a diploma in Radiological Imaging, MRI, and completed multiple courses in leadership development. Virginia works extensively as a lived experience partner on research projects, many pain initiatives, and is a proud member on several committees which include; Pain Canada National Advisory Committee, Canadian Pain Society (CPS) Communication committee, Atlantic Mentorship Network Advisory Committee.
